Here are ten quick facts about All Saints’ Church:
- Our church has been here for over 130 years, serving the English-Speaking community of North Tenerife
- We have many different nationalities and denominations within our family – Anglican, Roman Catholic, Scottish Presbyterian, Swedish Lutheran, and many others. ALL are welcome!
- If you would normally receive Holy Communion in your own church, you are welcome to do so here
- As with most Anglican churches, our worship is centered on the Eucharist (the Holy Communion or the Mass), as Christ commanded us to “Do this in remembrance of me”
- As well as our Sunday services (usually a Said Eucharist at 9:30am and Sung Eucharist at 11:00am) we have a Eucharist at 10:00am on Wednesday morning, followed at 11:15am either by the Prayer Group or Bible Study
- All Saints’ is part of the Anglican Diocese in Europe, and the Church of England – which means we are part of a family of over 70 million Christians in 162 countries
- Our congregation encompasses tourists, holiday makers, “swallows” (those who fly in for the winter, and spend a significant part of each year in Tenerife), and many who have chosen to make this beautiful island their permanent home
- The Gardening Group meets on a Tuesday, The Ladies Sewing Group (but anyone is welcome!) and the Maintenance Team both meet on a Thursday morning, to take care of our beautiful church and compound
- All Saints’ is also responsible for the English Cemetery here in Puerto de la Cruz
- All Saints’ is the oldest Anglican Church building in Spain!
