Dear Friends,
Thank you for visiting our website, we welcome you to our beautiful Church of All Saints Tenerife, to our Website and to online worship, as Jesus said, ‘I was a stranger and you welcomed me’” (Matthew 25:35).
We are here to be as Jesus and so we seek to welcome you as we would Jesus!
These recent times have been most difficult for so many and also for us financially. Nevertheless, we are called to be here for you and although Covid has severely affected our finances we intend to keep our work here going both now and into the future but it has become necessary for us to make an appeal for financial assistance. May I commend to you our Treasure’s message.
With blessings
Fr. Ron Corne.
Chaplain
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
After our recently socially distanced Annual Parochial Church Meeting, I explained to the congregation the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on All Saints finances. One of the outcomes of the lockdown has been our monthly expenditure exceeding our income. Our main source of fundraising income, the monthly Car Boot sales and other events, have been stopped by the new covid-19 safety measures. We hope to resume these as soon as possible, but I doubt this will happen in the near future. If you are able, now would be a good time to take a moment to reflect upon your financial support of the Church and how you give.
As Treasurer, I would like to take this opportunity to encourage those who would normally put a regular donation into the plate to sign up to make their donations online. If you are a visitor to our website and feel called to help us in our mission to minister to God´s people and our wider community, please consider donating to All Saints. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Be Blessed and stay safe.
Cheryl Douglas
Treasurer
Gifts in Wills or In Memoriam
At All Saints we welcome all gifts in Wills, however large or small, and we promise to use your gift to make a difference in our chaplaincy. Our church council’s legacy policy is to use gifts to help fund significant development projects; whether buildings, equipment, mission or staff.
Since needs change over the years, we encourage you to leave a gift in your Will for the general purposes of the chaplaincy rather than for a restricted purpose. We will discuss possible uses of your gift with your executors when the time comes, bearing in mind your known areas of interest in the church (e.g. music, buildings, gardens or children and young people) and the church’s priorities at the time.
You can be confident that your gift will be used to make a real difference to our future mission and ministry.
We will acknowledge gifts in whatever way the donor and/or his/her executors feel most appropriate. Equally, we can make sure that gifts remain anonymous if the donor prefers.
If you would like to talk to someone in confidence about the sorts of purposes your gift might fund, and how (if) you would like your gift to be acknowledged, contact our chaplain or our treasurer Jenny Wilson via the church.
If you would like to make a gift to our church in memoriam, please contact us to discuss this with us too. It can be a wonderful and appropriate way to remember a loved one.
